Physical Therapy – PT
Give your loved ones the Quality Care they deserve.
Physical Therapy
Our Physical Therapy services are provided by a licensed therapist under the direction of a Physician. Your therapist will provide specific information about the services and treatments you will receive.
What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy (PT), also known as physiotherapy, is one of the allied health professions that, by using evidence-based kinesiology, electrotherapy, shockwave modality, exercise prescription, joint mobilization and health education, treats conditions such as chronic or acute pain, soft tissue injuries, cartilage damage, arthritis, gait disorders and physical impairments typically of musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, neurological and endocrinological origins. Physical therapy is used to improve a patient’s physical functions through physical examination, diagnosis, prognosis, physical intervention, rehabilitation and patient education. It is practiced by physical therapists (known as physiotherapists in many countries).
In addition to clinical practice, other activities encompassed in the physical therapy profession include research, education, consultation and administration. Physical therapy is provided as a primary care treatment or alongside, or in conjunction with, other medical services. In some jurisdictions, such as the United Kingdom, physical therapists have the power to prescribe medication.[1]

Did you suffer to a recent fall?
Did you know? The most common reason physicians order physical therapy is to help patients recover from and prevent falls. Studies show that falls are the leading reason for an admission to an emergency facility, one of every three adults over the age of 65 falls each year, and half of them fall more than once. Nurses Care Home Health therapists are there to safely help, independent living where we believe you want to be, at you home!
Medicare Coverage
Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) helps pay for medically necessary outpatient physical therapy.
Your costs in Original Medicare
You pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount, and the Part B deductible applies.
Medicare law no longer limits how much it pays for your medically necessary outpatient therapy services in one calendar year.
To find out how much your test, item, or service will cost, talk to your doctor or health care provider. The specific amount you’ll owe may depend on several things, like:
- Other insurance you may have
- How much your doctor charges
- Whether your doctor accepts assignment
- The type of facility
- Where you get your test, item, or service
Your doctor or other health care provider may recommend you get services more often than Medicare covers. Or, they may recommend services that Medicare doesn’t cover. If this happens, you may have to pay some or all of the costs. Ask questions so you understand why your doctor is recommending certain services and whether Medicare will pay for them.
